Nuisance by cooking gas sellers

Almost every morning at 10am there's this vendor selling cooking gas who would create chaotic noises with his van horn. He drives around the whole puchong hartamas peddling his cooking gas. This nuisance has to be stopped as it has created unnecessary disruption to our otherwise peaceful community. I hope the relevant party will look into this matter

Dear All,

The following are the contact details:

1. Azmi ABB Enterprise: 03-80603149
017-3215282

2. Pasar Mini Hartamas: 016-9494814 (Vikki)

We should also get the contact details from the current mobile peddler and from thereon prohibit him from honking. Prevent him from canvassing and just limit him to just delivery service.

Brian,
Good feedback. My comments in CAPITAL LETTERS.
My thought is maybe we should get more feedback from people within the community before we make any decision. THIS IS ALWAYS A GOOD APPROACH; FOR MAJOR ISSUES. PERSONALLY, I THINK FOR RELATIVELY MINOR ISSUES LIKE THIS THE PHRA SHOULD JUST DO WHAT IT THINKS IS THE CORRECT THING. IF IT IS WRONG THEN TRY OTHER MEASURES. BEAR IN MIND THAT ONE CAN NEVER PLEASE EVERYBODY. I see a lot of household actually purchase from these guys (gas & pau seller) which is including myself. YOU ARE RIGHT. I TOO AM A CUSTOMER OF BOTH PADDLERS.

Maybe there is a way to get the best of both world? Eliminate the nuisance from their horns and let the residents have the convenience?

Of my mind is that maybe we can let those guys know if they want to keep selling their stuff in our community, they will have to come up with a "A4" laminated card for each household to hang at their gate.If the resident wish to purchase their things they will hang the card at their main gate, that way the van seller can just drive around and stop to ring the doorbell of the house which has the order card display on their gate. BRIAN, I WOULD THINK THAT IT WOULD BE MORE PRACTICAL TO JUST GET THEIR PHONE NUMBERS AND CIRCULATE TO ALL RESIDENTS OR POST ONLINE AND ON THE NOTICE BOARD. AS FOR THE PAU SELLER, MAYBE IT WOULD BE GOOD TO LIMIT HIM TO SELL ONLY BEFORE 10.00 PM.

This way we could have the convenience but eliminate them from going around honking or playing their recording loudly. Just my humble opinion, but whatever the decision we wish to make, we should get more feedback from the community. ALWAYS GOOD TO HAVE FEEDBACK RATHER THAN APATHY.

Should we put up another online poll? LET'S LEAVE POLLS TO WHEN MORE RESIDENTS (IF NOT ALL) ARE REGISTERED HERE.

Regards.

KS

"The relevant party"; I like that. Who in hell is the so-called "relevant party"? Wouldn't it be more relevant if the statement went: "I hope the Puchong Hartamas Residents Association" will look into this matter"? I think it is presumptuous and sometimes even rude to use "the relevant party" when one knows full well who he is addressing.

Having said the above, I am sure something will be done soon. Yes, the gas vendor does make quite a racket with his horn. There is a gas delivery service from the sundry shops at Jati Apartments. Will try to get the relevant phone numbers and post up. That should make the mobile gas vendor redundant and therefore irrelevant.

May be we should tell these people only come on certain day, not everyday. We need to find a balance of this. Also the dau jiong sui fellow at night could be issue.
