Residents want MPSJ to clean up Taman Puchong Hartamas

THE Taman Puchong Hartamas Residents Association hopes that the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) can clean up the drains in their area.

During a site visit with representatives from the council’s engineering and town services departments, residents association chairman N. Ramesh pointed out that the drains with stagnant water could easily become breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

MPSJ councillor Stephen Chin said four dengue cases were reported in Puchong Hartamas between April 1 and 17.

“There were also another two cases at the nearby Sri Menanti Apartments last month,” he said.

The residents also hoped that the council could upgrade the park by planting more trees, repairing the playground facilities and levelling the ground, construct humps on the roads near the park and trim the trees.

Chin also said he would use his councillor’s fund to add a gazebo and a few benches at the park.
